About this site

The site is a distribution channel for information and services produced by the Embassy of Finland in Bangkok and the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs for domestic and foreign users. The web service is provided in Finnish, Swedish and English.

Front page news contains main headline of the recent articles concerning activities of the Embassy of Finland in Bangkok and Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Finland. Ministry for Foreign Affairs News, on the front page, opens with the most recent articles published by the foreign affairs administration.

Current Affairs contains history of the articles concerning activities of the Embassy of Finland in Bangkok.  Visitors can subscribe to an RSS feed and receive topical material to RSS reader.

Embassy section provides information about the Embassy and its tasks, personnel and history.

Services section provides detailed information about consular services and immigration issues. You can also find the service fees on this section.

Special programmes

All the material on the Current affairs subsection can also be monitored with an RSS feed (Really Simple Syndication/Rich Site Summary). Users can subscribe to a newsgroup and receive notifications of updates. This helps avoid constant visits to the website in order to be notified of new and changed content. The RSS service can be subscribed by clicking the RSS button.

How to use the website

On the right upper corner of every page you can find the language options, sitemap, feedback and search.

By choosing the language you can acces a Finnish or Swedish version of the site. Beside every specific document you can see if there's information on the topic on other languages.

The sitemap functions as a directory, and by clicking the arrow sign in front of the word you can open the navigation panel and the site.

By using the Feedback form you can send messages to the Embassy, where the feedback is handled as soon as possible.

You can use the search function by entering a free keyword. In advanced search you can add an asterisk "*" in the part of the sentence or question that you want filled in and also combine words with word "AND" or "OR".

Copyright policy

Copyright to the texts, pictures and webcasts published on the website belongs to the Embassy of Finland or other parties mentioned in connection with the published material. For example, the copyright to pictures can belong to others but the Embassy has made an agreement on the use of the photos.

Linking to the texts is free and texts can be quotes as long as the source is mentioned. Other kind of use of the material must be separately agreed upon with the Embassy of Finland.

Linking to individual photos is categorically denied.
